Resumè: how to do it - Time
What do you need to write a good Resumè?

· You should know what it’s aimed at, what it should show, what it should communicate

There are many valuable answers that may complete this list, all of which touch upon important aspects of the “CV writing art”.
But a crucial factor that not many are aware of or take enough into account is time.
TIME
Doing something well requires time.
You should start by defining the context, that is, with an analysis of what you can offer and the interlocutor you’re directing your offer to.
A piece of paper, a pen and one hour of work at your PC are not enough to write a CV. You can do it, of course, but the result will be about form, not about content.
I once tried to write a CV with some senior colleagues of mine: after in-depth preliminary work, we went through as many as 9 drafts before producing an acceptable first version that could be sent off to head hunters or used to answer a job call.
Nowadays, both my generation and, even more so, the new ones, live in a world where absolutely everything is immediately accessible. We don’t even use phones anymore: we’re constantly online and connected, with Google instantly answering any question we might come up with. Nonetheless, even today, writing a good CV is a job that can’t be bypassed: you need to put time in to it.
Ignoring reality isn’t useful: better to know it, and act accordingly! Having worked in this sector for many years, I prefer to be honest with you and tell it like it is.
