Christine Lagarde was at ELLE Active in Paris. What about us?

Christine Lagarde at ELLE Active! in Paris, 2019

The comparison is playful obviously…

In any case ELLE Active! is a great event for women: inspirational, pragmatic, as well as an opportunity for networking, training and beauty …
(Our own) Cristina has been attending it ever since the 1st edition in Milan in 2016 to touch upon issues linked to Career Coaching and Professional Networking.
In the last edition she focused on Networking since she had just published her book "Connecting Dots – Il networking questo sconosciuto".

Here is some feed-back she is happy to share, as references.

Hi Cristina, thanks for the LinkedIn contacts and your response. As I said, I would be grateful if you could send me the presentation you did on Networking during the event for ELLE. If you have time, I’d like to know more about the company you represent. Maybe we could grab a coffee before Christmas? Thanks again and have a good day.

– Claudia

Good evening Cristina, I just finished reading your book which I bought at the end of the Elle Active event in Bicocca. I was struck by your networking philosophy which so clearly mirrors life itself: helping and thanking people in a sincere manner always generates virtuous cycles. I have a natural inclination towards networking but, since I don’t have experience in corporate environments and have never carried out my networking with career objectives, I don’t know enough about the correct methodology and strategy. The concrete and realistic approach in Connecting Dots was really enlightening and I’d like to thank you for this. The chapter on Networking in the fields was exceptionally candid, and employed an Anglo-Saxon approach we should all really learn from. I wish you every success in the future and hope to meet you again. Best regards

Hi! I really found your lesson at Elle Active very interesting!! Well done! There were so many practical and useful pieces of advice! As you said, it takes time but it’s worth pursuing. I also like to think of networking as a more human manner of doing business. I took pictures of the slides, but I would be grateful if you could send me them by email! Many thanks and all the best!! Your website is also very interesting!! I’ll work on my network and sooner or later I’ll get there!! All the best

– Susanna

Dear Mrs Gianotti, firstly I’d like to give my heartfelt thanks for your recommendations that I found really useful for my new project GETAMWITHCYNTHIA (Global Emotional Tutor and Motivator). After a long and happy experience as a white-collar worker and one pregnancy, since 2001 I have been giving private lessons on various school subjects to students of all ages, thereby combining my two great passions: teaching and foreign languages. Last year I opened a website to offer my services as a Coach with a focus on emotions and motivations in school education, through new techniques and strategies for learning and studying. All the best with your business! Kind regards

– Cinzia

Dear Cristina, I saw your presentation this morning at Elle Active and I was really struck by it. I also saw your website and that is why I am writing to you. I am 54 and have been out of work for 10 months in spite of all my efforts to find something. I was wondering whether - and if so how? - you could help me return to employment. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you and kind regards

– Maria Teresa

Good evening, thanks for your precious contribution at Elle Active. I am a profound believer in networking and am also convinced about the theory of the strength of weak ties… Your recommendations about organisation were also very interesting... I hope to meet you again soon

– Raffaella

Hello, I saw your speech at Forum Elle Active last Saturday and really found it interesting. Congratulations!
